Proceed down to the very end of the M4 (junction 49) where there is a roundabout and carry on straight over along the A48.
At the next roundabout at Cross Hands turn right up the A476 towards Llandeilo.
After approx. 4 miles you turn left at a minor cross road (1/4 mile past the Temple Bar Inn on left) and proceed through the village of Golden Grove.
At the cross road go straight across (junction with the B4300 road). ¼ of a mile you go over the river Towy Bridge. Just after the bridge you turn first right and proceed for about a mile until you get to a hairpin bend to the right & over another smaller bridge. Turn right and then 1st right again up a little lane. ‘Birdshill Farm’ is the third driveway on the left (There is a signboard at the driveway entrance)
From the A40 from Brecon:
Proceed to the only roundabout on the outskirts of Llandeilo. Take the second exit signposted A40 Carmarthen.
After about 2 miles turn left at the 2nd crossroads. (both crossroads are signposted to Pen y banc to the right).
Follow this country lane for about ½ mile, and just after a house on the right hand side, you turn 1st. left over a little bridge. (if you carry on you have to negotiate a hairpin bend left – you have gone too far!)
‘Birdshill Farm’ is the third driveway on the left. There are two cattle grids.
The choice of launch site is determined by the wind direction on the day of your flight.
